David investigated aspects of tight-binding models on hyperbolic lattices, and generalized the Haldane model of a Chern insulator to the hyperbolic space. His Master’s thesis, titled Hyperbolic topological insulators, was recognized by the 2022 Soluyanov UZH prize the Best Master’s Thesis in Theoretical Physics. David defended his thesis on 11 Nov 2021.
